This is a self-financing College of Teacher Education, located at Anchal. Sabarigiri College of Education is the youngest among the group of institutions established by Sabarigiri Educational & Cultural Society under the able guidance and leadership of Dr. V.K. Jayakumar, a physician, philanthropist with a vision.
The goal behind this establishment is to carve out, good teachers who can be instrumental in nurturing and nursing the future citizens of this country.

'Sabarigiri' has been a familiar name in the realm of education with - Sabarigiri Residential School, Anchal, Sabarigiri Higher Secondary School, Anchal, Sabarigir School, Punalur and our sister concerns Sabarigiri School, Vazhuthacaud, Sabarigiri College of Allied Medical Sciences among the few institutions which add to the glory of its name. quality education has been the motto of Sabarigiri.
'Education' as defined by Swami Vivekananda is the manifestation of the perfection that is already in man. The process of education is undergoing remarkable changes nowadays. Great effort is needed to keep up with the change. 'Change' is the need of the hour. It is the change that we are aiming at Sabarigiri College of Education.
Modern Educational facilities like well equipped Language lab, Psychology lab, Science labs, Computer labs, Audiovisual aids, Audiovisual hall, Seminar hall, well socked Library hall and Reading Room form the integral part of B.Ed curriculum at Sabarigiri College of Education.

Courses Offered - B.Ed Degree Courses of Kerala University. The academic session is at par with the Kerala University Teacher Education Centres, Details of existing optional and number of seats are as given below.

 

Eligibility - B.A/B.Sc. Degree of any of the Universities in Kerala under 10+2+3 pattern or of any University recognized by the University of Kerala as equivalent there to Minimum marks required is 50% for Science subjects and 45% for Arts subjects in Part III (Optional subjects) with 40% in aggregate. There will be a relaxation in minimum marks for the candidates belonging to eligible communities as per existing norms.

Choice of Optional
Subject - The optional subject should be the same as the one which the applicant has studied as the main subject for the qualifying degree as detailed below.
 

Allocation of Seats - 50% of the seats are set apart for management quota. Admission to the remaining 50% seats will be made according to the university norms in force.

Reservation of seats - Reservation of seats for candidates belonging to eligible communities/ categories will be allowed as per norms prescribed by the university, provided they prove their eligibility.

Admission Schedule - As notified by the University of Kerala for each session.

Mode of Application - The College has its own form of application which can be had from the College, office during working hours on payment of Rs. 250/- (Rs. 50 being the cost of application form and Rs. 200 being registration fee).

Application forms will be sent by post on request with a Money Order for Rs. 250 + postage. No D.D/Cheque will be entertained.

Filled in applications with self-attested copies of marklists and certificates of the qualifying examination, should be returned to the Principal within the stipulated time.
